You know, OP, you tell one more poster to shut up or some other angry, snarky remark, and I will report you.

Attacking people is not the best way to win a debate.

There's an old saying "You'll catch more bees with honey." If you want to promote your point of view, attacking other people is not the way to do it. You need to work on your delivery. Get some finesse...

OP is even shy to disclose his Chinese origin, hiding under the umbrella of "Asian". Besides he can't answer your question, instead of just deflecting it, very interesting.

Average americans move how many times during their life time? Apparently the used to be minorities im CA are now gaining power and becoming the ruling party, and they are now pushing for policies to maximize their group interest. Votes count, not your personal opinion.
Just to remind you, CA used to be part of MX, so it is not unfair for them to gain the control over it again.

I am not shy to disclose I am Chinese. You are shy to disclose that you are a racist. In US demography, Chinese is not a race, Asian is. What question did I deflect? The question about how Chinese benefit from AA? LOL.

Yes vote count. However, there is fairness and justice beyond the number of vote. Can the majority take advantage of the minority just because they have more votes? By the same logic of SCA-5, can we pass a law says we should distribute the food stamp based on the percentage of racial demography? During WWII, the majority of Germany supports the suppression of Jewish people, and now we are know how wrong that majority is.

By the way, I think the term "Asian American" is very inappropriate to begin with. It somehow suggests Chinese, Indians, Filipinos,... are all the same, or at least as similar as European nations.

The reality is, those groups have very different cultures, different demands, and different backgrounds. It is as stupid as lumping Egyptians and Kenyans in the same category (for social/political purposes) because they both live in Africa.

You really think so?
How closely related are germans, poles, greeks, and russians to one another? is it acceptable to lump them together as euro or white americans?

Things are relative.

Germans and Russians are certainly different, but German Americans and Russian Americans do have similar culture and social status in the US. Chinese Americans and Indian Americans are way more different.
For example, usually Chinese Americans do not marry Indian Americans. However German and Russian descendants are more likely to marry each other.

I agree with you on the marriage example. Asians are very diversified in culture. I think the reason we are categorized as one race is that the population is relatively small in US. The total population of the Asian is less than that of Hispanics or Blacks. Asians do share same value to some extent, that is we are hard-working and put education as very high priority.

Is this unique to Asians?
