Do we really need to grow pistachios along I-5 over by Lost Hills?

How about a resurgence of wheat?

And with all the interest in farm-to-table range fed meats, well guess what, those old Californios actually knew a thing or three.
Drought/heat aren't kind to cattle, though. Ranchers in the Bay Area lost all their stock in some heat wave that hit back in the 80's sometime. Some quit the business altogether.

The problem? Electing the same people time and time again. Guess what will happen in the next election? Same people.

They appeal to some hot social tropic and everyone votes them back in.

What is that quote about doing the same thing over again and again and expecting different results? based I believe on CA election results these days.

Over the weekend I drove from Sac to Tracy and did not see one farm with annual crops they had all been turned into vineyards and almond orchards. I guess we will be importing our corn and tomatoes from Mexico from now on...
