More since the Reagan era and especially since the Nineties.

What's that wrong with Texas? That's a really broad statement. I mean, I am a California native and love my state, but come on......

Wellll, there are two languages spoken for the most part in Bakersfield, and that would be English and Spanish. This is not only palpable, but very much obvious.

Which is true for Texas, as well.

I was not aware that Texans had an Oklahoma accent.

They probably aren't aware of this either.

A lot of people don't realize that not all Texans have a Texas accent...especially those growing up in the large cities in Texas.

The only time I heard the blend of Texas and Oklahoma accents was in Dallas.

Believe me Texans are aware of it.

Gorgeous and interesting state.............basically run by crazies. But CA is so attractive and gorgeous, it will take a LOT more abuse and keep on ticking.

Last good decades for CA. Now it is reputation with minimal substance. Unless you like paying taxes and fees beyond all reason.
