The problem isn't unemployment, it's the disproportionate relationship between salaries/wages and COL.

I am employed, and thankful everday for it, but I still live check to check and barely get by, even at six figures. Don't tell me how the COL is "justified". For one, it isn't, and two, that doesn't address the problem even if it was. We don't get paid enough, period.

The cost of living is determined by market economics. California has a high COL to a large degree because of the burden of regulations placed on business. Also, there is only so much land in desirable areas (like the beaches for example) so naturally those houses are astronomically expensive.

Nope. San Francisco could drop the price of RE anytime. You simply build out.

'San Francisco' stretches all the way to the Atlantic Ocean on one side. But the CA elites like the surfs to believe lies.
