Since any party spot probably should be decontaminated, the government should make hosts pay for that and have the haz-mat teams drive vehicles that boldly say, "Parties spread COVID-19. Don't do it."

If government is shutting businesses (many of which are privately owned), it has the right to forbid large private gatherings for the same public safety reasons. There is no inherent right to privacy.

If there is too much in-home mixing of households in an area, turning street parking into placard parking will eliminate much of it; that might work better than directly putting a lot of energy into breaking up parties.
You should read up on court privacy rulings when it comes to what is going on inside someone castle

Your objection is noted

No coronavirus-related restrictions on private gatherings have been overturned by the courts. I haven't even heard of any lawsuits.

Police have been breaking up private parties for decades. There are enough parties with violations of longstanding rules happening that if they are zealously targeted, the spread of the virus will slow. That includes marijuana laws, for not all is legal on private property. This is so simple that my mind is boggled why it's controversial.

Where I live in Arizona churches were never reopened to the public.

That's a surprise. I thought that AZ might be amongst the first to reopen churches. Now that they didn't rush forward, they have time to examine various filtration systems, and maybe also look into the strategic use of see-through barriers, if that would help.

Police have done some of that during the pandemic.

https://toofab.com/2020/03/31/huge-s...navirus-order/

I found another, less controversial police interruption in another story, also from the stay-at-home days. Police probably are more eager to enforce, and residents more willing to report, in Phase 1. However, we're not much beyond that phase now, which ought to frustrate everyone. Politicians and the media need to talk up actions taken, to scare the public into behaving better.

Same thing in other counties, probably, once the spread from indoor dining and bars dies down.

The police aren’t eager. They have better things to do.

You’re joking right? So people shouldn’t be exercising without a mask because people may be hiding in or behind the bushes? Are they lying in wait so they can surprise the mask less? Sorry, but they’re following guidelines. I do the same.

Yeah that’s a problem. Maybe the churchgoers should disguise the services as a protest so the virus will be confused and ignore them.
Depends on the protest.

If it is BLM or Antifa, the that is perfectly OK (according to MSM)

Maybe you hadn't yet moved there.

.....one church in Tucson held services last weekend and more are doing so....At least 50 people attended communion at The Bridge Christian Church’s east campus, on Tanque Verde Road near Catalina Highway, after an 11 a.m. service last Sunday (May 3).

After communion, people refrained from shaking hands or hugging but some stood close to each other as they talked outside the church.

No one leaving the church on that day wore a mask.

The service was one of four the church hosted the first weekend of May. It was the first weekend of services on campus since mid-March, after six weeks of online service.

Again, you didn't read carefully. But what better things do they have to do now, and what choice do they have?

One thing police could do, with almost no risk of court challenge, is break up street parties. That includes parties that extend onto sidewalks, which are public property. Newsom today called mixed-household gatherings "one dominant area of concern" - he needs to back up words with action. I'd basically perp-walk some of them, easy enough if there are daytime parties. Detain everyone if there is some crime (e.g., marijuana being served in large quantities) and then make examples of those responsible.

Some (perhaps) good news on the anyibody immunity. From the Wall Street Journal:
Can You Catch Covid-19 Twice?

Most scientists say patients gain some immunity to the virus after the first infection
