Default California Bond Rating: Teering Closer to Junk
Fitch ratings just lowered California's bond rating to BBB, which is only a notch or two above junk bond status and the lowest rating of any state.

It wouldn't be a surprise if other bond rating agencies followed suit.

Right down there with borderline failed states abroad. Maybe we'd be better off importing a "strong man" crony government from such a place.
