Sorry, had to touch on this too - why is it you think "all-white" trailer parks no longer exist in CA? Is it because low income whites can easily move out of CA to other, more rural/low cost, parts of the country and fit in very easily? As where other races aren't always accepted in some of those same lower cost rural communities, so they tend to stay in the bigger cities where they don't have to worry about being targeted racially? Just an honest question. We both know there are still plenty of low income trailer parks all over CA, but the racial makeup of those trailer parks is probably not as white as it used to be.

Thank you.

It's not about trashing the OP or defending him just for asking the question he asked. Some are just questioning why he asked the question, and his answer has proven what some had assumed to be the case. He associates any area that isn't predominantly white to be a "bad" area - not just more to his liking, or somewhere he'd feel comfortable, as many who defend him keep trying to point out, defensively. He's generalizing entire communities by saying they're unsafe if they have more than a small percentage of non-whites - if you can't see the questionable logic in that, well then, there probably isn't much to discuss.

It's funny - even in a discussion like this, you can see everyone taking sides for different reasons, though mostly because of how they feel they "relate" to the OP (or not). So many people on both sides feel like they're being attacked and have to defend themselves, and before you know it, the original topic starts getting lost.

I just watched a CNN special last night on how an illegal immigrant was beaten to death by white college kids in Shenandoah, PA. And it's amazing how many people took sides because they felt they were on trial themselves for being white, or were the ones who had been beaten because they were hispanic. The murder that was committed ended up taking a back seat to racial defensiveness (almost completely forgotten, really) and people were showing support due to race, uniting against the "outsider". You see some of the same things going on here - defensiveness, justification, accusations, personal attacks, and data to help support each person's "truth" or "facts" - on both sides. Sadly, it just tells us all that we still have quite a bit of work to do as human beings, let alone Americans.
