I certainly have no hang ups or dislikes for any people in Canada. I've experienced anti Toronto and anti Ontario sentiment in my travels though.
Was it overt or more of the usual snide comments about Toronto being the " Centre of the Universe " ?
The only anti B.C. or Vancouver stuff that I've ever experienced was very minimal and usually from someone who had never been and was spouting stereotypes.

Some snide and some overt and I know the difference between when someone is laughing with me and laughing at me so to speak..
I've been to B.C on 3 occasions (including once in H.S on a cultural exchange with students from the interior of B.C - woohoo Fraser lake and mouse mountain GO FLESS uhem sorry) lol and i'd say there in particular sentiment was snide and laughing with us.. I've never had any negative experiences with B.C folk to be honest...
I have had some negative experiences elsewhere though that was more overt including in Nova Scotia, Alberta and Quebec but its simply just a minority of people who are like that.. Its largely overplayed and I don't think that type of pettiness is particularly prevalent.

I can't speak for Toronto or Ontario, but if anyone in Vancouver would say something truly nasty about Ontario or Toronto in particular, they would most likely be met with a chorus of " Hey, I'm originally from Toronto ".
Do you think Canadians aren't properly educated about other provinces than where they live?
No, I think most canadians have a decent grasp of basic geography. Why do you feel that BC should be more on the radar of someone from Ontario? Why should it?

I'm using BC as an example but it could apply to any province. Why do Nova Scotians get blank stares when they go to Saskatchewan as an alternate example?

Because they are the new person in a town of 150 surrounded by wheat fields?
Do Nova Scotians REALLY get blank stares, or are you making this stuff up just for the sake of conversation?
My money says someone from Sask asks the NS'er where he's from, he says "Oh, I'm from a town outside of Halifax, sort of near Peggy's Cove, if you've ever heard of that."
And the Sask'er replies "Oh really?! Yes, I know where Peggy's Cove is, but I've only seen it in pictures or TV. It's beautiful. I'd love to go there one day."
.....not the brain dead stare you seem to think happens.

How do you know that's what really happens? Most people I've talked to in western canada know little about the maritimes and haven't been there
Perhaps not. But they know that the maritime provinces exist.
IME, Nova Scotians don't get blank stares in western Canada. Nor do Albertans or British Columbians get blank stares in Nova Scotia. I've been to all four Atlantic provinces; nobody ever gave me a blank stare when I said I was from Alberta or Ontario (I've lived in both and been to the maritimes more than a few times).
In my travels, I've talked to people all over Canada. If they're Canadian, or have lived here for some time as a PR, they know all the provinces. They may not know much about other provinces, but they know that they exist. Thus an Albertan in Nova Scotia wouldn't raise an eyebrow. Nor would a Newfoundlander in BC.
Maybe blank stares was an exaggeration but I think if I asked a random Vancouverite to name 10 things they know about Nova Scotia or ask a random Haligonian 10 things they know about Manitoba, they would have difficulties. I think that's a real shame and I guess what I'm really getting at
