Someone is always here for you or at least not too far away in cyberland I wish we were all closer and could help you out more.

That is wonderful news about the batteries. There is still some good in the world

He is really obtuse but it must be hard to be cognizant of others, even his loving wife, while he is dealing with his deterioration and anticipated death. Unfortunately it doesn't sound as if you can count on him for much understanding. You are going to have to disregard more and more of his criticisms and try to take it from whence it comes.....and at least understand the reasons ..... so you can overlook it.

Do you have a support group that you can go to ...... for yourself.....or a therapist? I know who would stay with him while you went. ??????

Good morning cyn

I agree with Elston cyn,........poor guy is dealing with the stages of his horrible disease. People usually take it out of the one that is closes to them. Unfortunately that is you.
A support group or therapist would be the answer....

Good morning everyone. Last night was much better..I'm sure it has to be very hard to be going through what my DH is going through--I know it is very hard for me and I don't have ALS. Maybe by my just talking to him about his actions yesterday helped. He did apologize so that is a start and he was very nice last night. I know I am the only one he can unload to it's just hard for me sometimes.
I would love a therapist elston but am not sure how much my insurance will cover and if I can afford to see one--something I must check into. Finding a good one in my are may prove difficult too. Support groups are around but not in the immediate area so that will be another option I need to look into....I see my Dr again in the end of July and will discuss this all with her.
Am looking forward to having the guy come out and get the scooter going. I think that may have taken a big load off of our minds and maybe helped with DH's mood last night. He just seemed much more relaxed. Now I have got to seriously got to get started checking into getting my old verizon cell phone hooked back up it's the only one that works where we live, but I don't want to get into a contract really because I only want it for selling things on craigslist. We have so many big things to sell in our shop like a sand blaster, table saw and heavy metal tables----all items we had in our shop in CA that we brought with us and we need to sell them. I mean we have crates of things that have not yet even been opened--transmission parts etc....I could buy minutes but those cost so much so I need to talk to them to see what they have to offer. So it looks like another busy day here--even if it is still raining! Least all the kitties are happy and dry on the front porch!

Hi, all. I'm happily back home in Florida.

Cyn, don't worry about venting to us....it's why we're here. Hugs to you both.
