RIP Verne. He was always great to watch. This week we lost several great entertainers. Rough week.

I'm sorry to hear about Verne Troyer. I enjoyed watching him as 'Mini Me' as well.

May he RIP.

Great, great pic. That moment when you're grinning right before a moment of pure pleasure...

Remember him that way.

LPs generally have a shorter lifespan, but his family is basically saying this was a suicide. There have been a number of suicides of LPs in Hollywood/entertainment.. Herve Vellasquez (or however you spell it), Michael Rappaport, Michael Gilden, Hank the Angry Drunken Dwarf, Eric the Actor.. All either flat out suicides or suicide-by-alcohol/drugs

I think.. And there's likely little to no real evidence to back it up, just observational.. So many have so many medical issues, they develop tolerances to pain medications and/or self-medicate. That covers the drug and alcohol deaths.

The rest, meaning the suicides.. I don't think particularly that LPs are more susceptible to depression.. I think they just have more opportunity for it to set in, if that makes sense? Chronic pain, mobility issues and some mental issues from the way they're generally treated by the public at large.. Being an LP in an average sized world for lack of a better term

Then.. There's the natural stuff.. heart disease.. Things that affect everyone. Of course.. Remember folks like Billy Barty.. 76 when he died. Or Kenny Baker who lived to 81. Or Zelda Rubenstein who was 76.

But.. When you can come up with about 50%.. For every one you name who lived a 'normal' lifespan, there's another who didn't.. That's troubling numbers.
