I remember reading somewhere that Kevin Bacon felt like he was floundering in his career until his wife (Kyra Sedgewick) convinced him to quit going for the "leading man" roles and stick with the STRONG supporting roles, IMO he's really excelled at those.

Two of his best IMO;

"My Dog Skip" and
"A Few Good Men".

Excellent point. And his one scene part in JFK, as the sex hustler inmate is memorable in that film.

Gary Oldman. Mr Everything.

Anne Bancroft. One of the best actresses I have ever seen and NEVER saw her in anything (big or small role) where she didn't excel.

Paul Giamatti - he can do drama and comedy equally well.

Lili Taylor - portrays a great drug addict/troubled character.

Charles Durning never seemed to get the credit he deserved in movies.

Ed Harris is also one who doesn't seem to get as much credit for his roles.

I think Kevin Bacon is terrific also, he's played alot of different roles, he don't receive the credit he deserves. His wife is a good actress also kyra sedgwick.
