Updated my droid to 2.2. Immediately noticed problems. First of all the droid would not get past the loading screen. Popped the battery had same issues. Called support, they had me format the phone. Unfortunately the update is still on the phone after the format. It worked for a while, now it freezes 5 or 6 times a day. Tech support assured me there is an update to fix the update coming soon. Ill wait 2 days. Otherwise im going to have them send me a new phone. Actually a refurb but the refurbs come without the new update.

Anyone having issues with the new update.

I guess I might be.

I bought the Seidio 3500mA battery last weekend, and was blaming some issues on it, although that made no sense to me.

Thanks for the post.

Running the latest update from Sprint on my Evo with no problems. I updated on Saturday. It's the first update to 2.2 since they released it for the Evo a while back.

I also got the hi cap battery from Seidio, and LOVE it. I can actually have my phone away from the charger for more than a few hours now!

Ouch! Some small stuff, but nothing like yours. My screen rotation is much too sensitive, but I can live with that.

Sprint Evo 4G.
I had freeze up when dragging the screen to open it. Had to turn off and back on, and then opening the screen would drop me almost anywhere but Home.

Updated the PRL yesterday, and, so far, no issues at all since then. Much smoother.

And I love the Seidio battery, too.

Root your phone?

It gives you so many more options and the ability to take crap off your phone. No waiting around for crappy updates from Sprint or whatever.

Froyo is good but having the updates before they are released OTA is amazing.

skel,
Is this issue resolved for you?

I am getting freeze up regularly now, can't get past the locked screen in less than a few tries. Have started removing apps, but suppose I will have to reset to factory, too.

It doesent freeze as much but yeah it still locks up every few days. Also my battery drain is still a problem. Today my phone died after just 5 hours and i barely used it. GPS, WIFI, all that crap is off. Sometimes it gets stuck on the screen where you have to scroll the lock thing when you turn on the phone for a few minutes. Only way to fix the lockups for me is a battery pull.
