Verizon Wireless. Unlimited talk/text, 2GB of data on phone and iPad. $78/month. Way cheaper than their other plans. No other cell phone provider around here and coverage sucks, only 4G/LTE available, and to actually make a phone call from home, I have to use my landline or my internet for WiFi calling on my cellphone. Plan does not include any streaming services or monthly payments on any hardware.
Verizon does have loyalty discounts but you need to have an unlimited data plan for them. Contact Verizon and ask them about it. I am up to $20 of discounts.
Boost Mobile is my wireless carrier. I have been with this company for 6 years.
It was the pre-paid division of Sprint, but when Sprint and T-Mobile merged, the combined company was compelled to divest of one of its low-cost subsidiaries. Since T-Mobile owned Metro PCS, the consolidated corporation sold Boost to Dish TV.
Dish TV has become highly promotional regarding Boost. It has a number of low-cost offers to attract new customers and, also, to retain its current customers.
In the past year, my plan has gone from unlimited talk and text, and 3 gb of high-speed data, to 10 gb, and within the past month, to 30 gb. At the same time, my monthly bill has dropped by $10.
So, I now pay $25 per month, which includes unlimited talk and text, as well as 30 gb of high-speed data. This bill includes all taxes and fees.
Spectrum mobile in Florida: $14 (includes all fees & taxes) for 1 gig/month of data. Unlimited talk and text. If I go over, they charge me another $14 for the second gig. So that's $28 for 2 gigs. And the by the gig plan can be shared across multiple phones. This is really great if you and SO/Spouse don't use much data. No contracts, but you must be a Spectrum internet customer.
I had VZ Wireless. Spectrum mobile seems to get the same or similar reception. Maybe Spectrum is using the VZ network?
I don't believe how people are paying $15-20/month total. Here, Verizon is $25-35/month for "access" for each device, plus a data fee, plus surcharges and taxes, plus more for any add-ons like call blocking or streaming services. It adds up to $100 pretty quickly. It's the only mobile company with any decent reception and that's not very good...usually 0-1 bar.
$61.67/month T-Mobile.
Two 55+ numbers.
One Apple Watch number.
$8.43 discount for buying my iPhone thru T-Mobile.
We are T-Mobile customers because our phones just work when we travel to Europe.
Wife handles all that. Unlim wi-fi, $40/month, virtually all family calls over Facebook. If local phone is needed, it takes a couple minutes to buy a load, unlim voice, 40c for 3 day load. Typical month, $42, including all data, laptop and phone, at home. . If away from home, calling can wait.
So, phone is a couple of bucks, after $40 for wi-fi at home.
I am in Ontario Canada and have a Rogers plan. I get 25 GB data with unlimited national calling and texting C$ 45 a month
that is approx. US$ 33 a month
