Hi everyone, just wanted some thoughts on Thickett Apartments in Mount Pleasant. I'm going to be moving from out of state so I won't get to view them first. Also, is that a good area to be if you will be walking everywhere/taking the bus? I checked CARTA and Google maps and it looks to be a great location. Thanks!!

I don't know anything about the apartments, but it is in a good location. I'm pretty sure the bus stop is right at the entrance. I will take a drive by the area this weekend and take some pictures for you. I know what it is like to rent site unseen because that is what I did. Someone on this forum was nice enough to come look at my neighborhood for me and I am very grateful for that. Are you looking to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom? If you want, shoot me a pm and I will give you info on where I live. I pay less than the 2 bedrooms at Thickett and my place is bigger and has a private fenced in yard.

Last year I had occassion to look at apartments in the area. All of the ones I looked at in the Town Center/Snee Farm area (including the Thickett) would have done quite nicely.

I have attached some pictures. I took a ride there today. It is just over a mile from where I live.

One of the quickest ways to "check" a place out is look at the vehicles in the parking lot. Need I explain more?

I meant to mention the cars. You can see some of them in the pictures. The vehicles were average, such as SUVs and Cavalier type cars. There was also a sheriff's truck.

Well maintained, clean, neat cars shows people that care about their environs.

Beat up, dirty, trash vehicles show the opposite.
