I'm not...

There is a huge difference in cost between a recreational biking trail, and biketrails for all locals to get around every populated area.

Yet along, a system similar to what was posted above. Basically looked like a 6 lane highway. Except its just a two lane road 2 bike paths and 2 medians.

I'm a cyclist and seriously... never use Portland as an example for changing things to be more bike friendly. The cyclists there are the most pretentious a-holes around. They give all of us a bad name.

Likewise, stop being so stubborn. At some point it only serves to hurt the cause you support.

Would you be willing to foot all of the bill with the other cyclists to build them, because the rest of us 99% are not willing...

Like I said, I'll pay the taxes for it. I just need to rally people, especially cyclists.

Recreational trails are for FUN. Everyday bicycle lanes are for commuting use and would be helpful for those who use cycling as a means of commuting.

I didn't ask if you were willing to pay some, I asked if you were willing to foot the bill for ALL of it, roads are paid for by taxes collected on gasoline sales, realestate property taxes and vehicle property taxes, would you be willing to pay a special tax for bicyclists to build bike paths?

I don't own property, I don't use gasoline, and I don't have a car. The only way anyone can tax me is through sales tax and my pay. And how much would this tax be? I'll pay it if it means bicycle lanes get built. I already have to pay taxes for other things I don't use, like welfare.
