Wife saw it over the outlet mall. My view was a bit closer. They are crazy quiet though; that's one of the first things you notice about it.

Only 6 people were on it. I asked Marco if I could fly on it awhile ago, they said no.

A group of us are following it to paint, but currently it looks like they will be flying commercial. Probably do to the experimental rating until it is certificated.

I do have to say it looks great. Its the 4th one I have seen fly, and worked ground crew for(very minimally of course for za001,za002, and za005).

But this one was particularly special, I have been on factory floors working on this particular airplane for just about 14 months(well 13 months, I spent about a month working wings and 41 section of line 54)

It was cool the day before flight, I was working on something in the Aft EE bay, and right above it, I saw what was pretty much the first job I ever wipped into on LN 46, back in Building 20, before 30 was open.

The plane performed very well and word is, that it was the cleanest B1 flight in the history of the program.

Me fly in it --- Nah. I wish! I'm just an electrician working in the FAD building. Even in the Navy I only fixed them, unfortunately, for 20+years.
Great day yesterday. Proud to see all of our efforts have finally paid off - the flight ended in a safe landing and that to me says something about the people working at the plant. At least the ones who WANT to produce a quality aircraft. Now if we can get 54 to Position 4 we'll have another one to gloat about soon.

Were they actually allowing people to take pictures? Normally that's a no-no. Very cool picture of the 87 with the C-17s in the background.

There were some people on airport property and I know they were kicking people off around the airport.

In the middle of moving Pos 2->3 and Pos 3->4 right now. Moving 2 planes in one night for the first time. However I suspect it will not be the last!
