I enjoyed it also. The people and the food were great. It was nice to meet some of the people that Rick mentions from the forum. Hey, have y'all have you ever heard of Meetups.com? I've been to a few of them and they have always turned out to be worthwhile also. Looking forward to future get togethers...

heard of meetup, but never used it... what type of meetups did you go to?
I have been to several meet ups at restaurants, went kayaking with one and one with a group of girls and toured Cypress Gardens in Moncks corner. My favorite though was a meetup with a group of girls where we went to the opening of the Sex and the City (1st movie). We met up at Cork Restaurant in North Charleston (dressed up in honor of the movie) and the owner had ordered a bunch of goodies for us to have in honor of the movie (e.g. Hello Lover ring, free t shirts and scarves). We ate there then went to the movie together and it was great.
I still belong to a bunch and they are good groups but Rick doesn't want me to get together with a bunch of strangers. The groups I belong to are:
Charleston Area Cooks & Receipt Sharing
Charleston Area Cooking Club
Charleston Dining Divas
Charleston Girls Night Out
Charleston Sea Kayaking
Charleston Smooth Jazz
Charleston Best Restaurant Club
North Charleston Movie Lovers
It's interesting to see all the ideas that people can come up with to do things. Anyone wanna join and come with me so that I'm not going with a bunch of strangers?

I would be interested in joining some groups with you! The cooking club and Cooks and Receipt Sharing group sounds fun. We have only gone kayaking on Shem Creek and it was a lot of fun. Have you tried paddle boarding? One of these days I am going to try it.
They have a Intro to Kayaking On-Water Class this Saturday at 9:00 AM if anyone is interested let me know. Check it out on meetups.com. The cooking club has a greek cooking lesson next week also.
