Yeah. I think MTP and North Charleston have more chains because of tourists coming in there with hotels, along with things like the mall, town center, etc. Those usually don't attract tons of independent restaurants (but sometimes they do... Tanger has a few nearby, and I think there are some local places close to Town Center, even if not actually INSIDE the center). With West Ashley's online reputation, we do have some good eats

MTP does have some good local places... Page's is good... A Dough Rei Mi pizza is some of the best pizza I've had since moving down here.
