I'm glad to see that Richard Davis and co bought the JCP store. It might give them more flexibility with their plan and they should have more incentive to have something higher class populate the space than an outside retailer might.

A failed house flipper who hinged his hopes on reality tv exposure? Sorry if I don't share the same warm & fuzzies as you do.

While I don't totally disagree with you, I would hardly consider Richard Davis a failed house flipper. He if has the resources to purchase a mall I wouldn't consider him a failure. I do have doubts about what he can do for Citadel Mall but let's at least give the guy a chance.

To be clear, I'm not necessarily a fan of the man (and I've never seen the tv show or been involved directly) but my point was that I'm glad to see that the mall investors also had enough wherewithal and faith in their plan to buy the JC Penny store. I would think that way no matter who it was.

Timely article today in West Of about Davis and Citadel Mall:

Wish Davis the best and hope he can turn Citadel Mall around.
