Does anyone know of a spot (without a boat) to go fish -- locally in Summerville?

Husband would like to go fishing, but isn't sure where to go?

Thanks!

He needs some relaxation - to relieve stress at work.

Thanks!

ok ok...There's a pond/lake off of Winter dr, off of Hwy 176 (sville) ... Good spot! AND in Moncks Corner, FoxBank Plantation > there's a huge lake there LOADED and stocked with fish, ya gotta be sneaky getting in there. Lots of fun!!!

fishin in S'Ville?? I wouldn't eat it if u did find a ditch to fish out of...

does he like fresh or salt water? have to have a fishing license even to fish off of the banks now, salt or fresh... with the exception of using a cane pole in a fresh water stream/creek

used to be able to fish off of the bank free in salt water until this year

fresh? go up to the lakes, Moultrie or Marion... or a little farther to Santee

salt? try any of the county parks, breach inlet, folly beach pier or surf fishing on the upper beach at folly...

any real great spots away from most of the public I would actually have to show you... one of those things where I know where they are but can't tell u how to get there...

If you want to drive a little further there are the old bridges that cross over Lake Marion by I-95.

Take I-26 west to I-95 North then get off at Hwy 6 in Santee, if you drive over the lake on I-95 you can see the terminated bridges to the west.

Pine Forest Country Club Golf Course. I caught a 4.5 lb Bass in one of the ponds and they're pretty well stocked. Do not eat them though; catch and release!
