That will be nice. Plus the connector road and roundabout will alleviate the congestion on Jefferson Rd soon.

It will be something to behold when it's all finished! South Charleston is positioning itself nicely to grow. I could eventually see additional access to the Regional Tech Park. I know that there's "some" conversation about building a new South Charleston High School at the Tech Park. That would probably merit a road connecting with Jefferson Road. And if they were smart, they would make it meet with the new intersection that leads to Trace Fork. Just an idea.

After some reconsideration, I can tell that the topography is not suitable for a four way intersection there. The hillside is simply too steep and unforgiving.

I did notice that cars coming from the shopping center on the new road will be forced to turn right at the bottom. I assume that is a temporary measure until the Jefferson Road project is further along and can support a stoplight there. That kind of defeats the purpose of the road for people trying to leave Trace Fork, but it makes sense for the time being.
