Were you anywhere near route 58? I was supposed to go to Chesapeake and Suffolk on Tuesday..not sure I am going now. My dad says it took the city more than 3 days to clear out 2 inches of snow the other week.

We have 4 inches on the cars this morning! Everything is so beautiful. Waiting for the kids to wake so we can go play.

I don't know what we have now (maybe 1 or so inches), but it looks gorgeous on the trees. Kids are beyond thrilled and eager to go out in it. You think they'd never seen snow before

Our dog had no idea what to make of it though. It disturbed him.

Can you guys keep all that white stuff down there?
We don't need it here in NYC.

Thanks in advance for your continued cooperation.

That's a great question. I'm supposed to be in Norfolk tonight for work (truck driver) and use US-58 from I-85. I'm not concerned about the freeways, it is the backroads that I am concerned about. Maybe I'll check in the Hampton Roads forum and see how things look out there.

Norfolk isnt looking very good. 58 should clear quickly, but not until the snow stops- which doesnt look likely to happen until tomorrow. If I were you, I'd take a sick day, and give them time to get the streets cleared.

Here's links for Philadelphia, Baltimore, & DC local stations' weather pages. (DC shows Norfolk) If anyone here has to go up into that area, or has guests who need to drive up there, this may help.

The Philadelphia weather page includes videos. If the website refeshes or is updated, it will kick you out, but just click on the video again & fast forward into it. The Philadelphia videos include updates concerning tonights Eagles/Vikings game on NBC, as it is scheduled to be played in Philly tonight.
