Basically, its saying "Hey...you cant be as cool as these people, and youll never be able to date any of these people if you did go out, so, be sure you look at these photos and start wishing."
Oddly enough, a co worker of mine was in a photo, and it was very nice, simple picture of her and her friend.
I couldn't agree more. There could always be the next article about how bad Charlotte is getting or that the housing market is going to implode on Tuesday.
Perhaps putting together of gallery of people with no place to live or out of job would be so much more appealing?? Relax. We were all young once and enjoyed going out at some point in our lives. Nothing wrong with the pictures at all in my opinion, other than some of those kids really make me feel old. Pretty much any online newspaper has them now.
I dont really have problem with people posing for camera but that is all it is. No names with pictures or location the photos are taken.
The thumbnails do not match the photos so I am trying to understand the point.
To be labeled as party pix I expect to see partying. Only a few holding a drink or one girl a cigarette.
Mostly it smile for the camera.
I just went through all 54 of those pics. What I saw were people of all ages, races, and (probably) sexual preferences having fun together. These were ALL beautiful people having a good time. Is THIS your idea of "society going to hell"? I'm too young to remember, but my mom told me many of times about the "colored" and "white" water fountains here in the South (which is why she moved to NYC). I'm sorry, but IMO Charlotte (and the South) used to be "hell" and is only now finding "heaven". I think that is the hidden message in those pics. The CO is a left leaning paper (most papers are). So naturally, they will show the more liberal side of Charlotte. If I were the man in charge at the CO, I would do the same thing...

Speak for yourself! I kinda think the opposite... "hey... I am *much* cooler than these people, thank goodness I didn't have to date these people when I was single"!
Out of all of those pics, I only saw one person more than 50 lbs over weight. Everyone else seemed to be average sized. Keep in mind though that I am 6' 4" 215 pounds and I consider myself to be slightly overweight.
