Now they are talking about dropping CBS in certain cities and CBS On Demand everywhere! I'd switch to Direct or Dish but I really like watching TV when it rains.
I just bought a modem on eBay for $20 plus free shipping. TWC was charging me their ridiculous "leasing" fee on equipment they installed 6 years ago. My new modem gives me better speeds than the old one' I would have dumped TWC all together except that I really have no other ISP in my area. The leasing fee is a joke!

I have Directv and love it! Customer service is great...their technology is great. Too be honest with you, I rarely lose a signal in bad weather. Maybe 3 or 4 times a year for 10 minutes or less. When that happens, I'll watch something on the DVR. I highly recommend Directv over TWC for television service. It's not even close.

No relief there anyway. Dish & Raycom, owns WBTV (CBS), are currently having a lover's quarrel and Dish claims that it might drop WBTV on Thursday. Or WBTV will pull access. Who knows who cares. WBTV is tellling people to put up an antenna if they still want CBS.
In the end, they always make up and pass the cost increase on the the customer.

My FIL has DirectTV at the lake house and every singe time it rains, the signal goes out.
yep... a year ago we were at Mac's Speed Shop during the NBA finals and there was one of those Charlotte hard rains and the signal went out.
Best quote ever by a random customer: "..and this is why Direct TV will never take over the world"
All I can do is talk about my experiences with Directv...and I can't be happier with their service. As for the people with frequent service outages...I haven't had them....You may not be getting a strong signal to begin with. The Dish may need an adjustment

I have too many trees in the back yard to get Direct TV.
I'm bitter about it too.
