Our HOA requires it be either in the garage, or if outside, obstructed by a fence of shrubs.

We can't put ours in the garage, won't fit. We have it outside our garage, side of the house. We have a side load garage. We have a big rose bush in front of it, although it's not in bloom now, but when it is it covers it pretty well.

I'm thinking of adding another bush to the other side so it's not viewable from the cross street.

I'm open to other ideas though.

Most people construct, or have someone construct a latice L wall to hide the trash can behind. Something like this:

Mine are in the garage. I wish some of my neighbors followed my lead.

Mine are in the garage with just barely enough room to get both cars in there as well.

Mine are in the garage, but we only put one car in the two-car garage. The other is in our driveway. We initially had ours on the side of the house like our neighbors, but the HOA just send a letter letting us know that we needed to move it.

I'd prefer mine to be outside but it is so much easier to have it in the garage. Have to be careful in the summer because if I put the wrong thing in there too far away from trash pickup day it smells up the whole house. Sometimes I'll keep bad stuff in the fridge in the summer until Weds because if it is cold, it won't smell like it will in the oven that is my garage.

I hate putting it in the garage because of the smell - so we lug that sucker to the back of the house. It's a PITA - so I might take the suggestion above and build a latice fending around it!

Sitting at the end of our driveway near the house, against the fence.

It's on the side of our house behind a bush. I would never want to put it in the garage, that would be awful in the Summer. Especially since we have a workshop in there that we use frequently.
