Default Birkdale Village near Huntersville, NC

We really liked shopping at Birkdale Village. It is an attractive mixed-use development designed to resemble a town. Is there anything like that in the South Charlotte area?

No, sorry. I imagine the closest thing that would resemble Birkdale would be the center of Ballantyne at Ballantyne Commons and Johnson Road. On one corner is corporate offices, on another is Ballantye Resort, on another is retail and restaurants and apartments, and on last corner is retail, restaurants, YMCA, movie theater and townhomes. Although it's an extremely nice intersection, it's not the exact theme of Birkdale.

Oh yeah, duh. Philip's place is actually more expensive. If you like Birkdale, you'll like the whole Southpark area (where Philips Place is).

Soon there will be an area similiar to that near the Concord Mills Mall. It will be called Christenbury Corners and should be up and running in about a year. Also there is another area on south Tryon near 485. Its called Arsley.. Townhomes, movies theater, shops, resturants, town courtyard. Similar to Birkdale on a smaller scale. They are also reviving the subdivision Greyson (on rte 29 1/2 mile from Lowes Motor Spedway. It will contain shops, zero lot line homes, villas and upscale shopping. Now in the presale stage

A more massive development that will be built like Birkdale but will be considerably larger than Birkdale is The Village at Lake Norman. It will be built in Cornelius...but not Charlotte.
