Petco is coming to the Arboretum and will be occupying the large space once filled by Old Navy.
The new Five Guys is doing well.
Construction is almost complete on the Taco Bell which burned down earlier this year.
These are all positive.

It is not just that location, Carlyle's parent company, Finlay, filed for bankruptcy in August.

They closed the Wolf Camera store in the Harris Teeter center at Providence and Audrey Kell. Just an FYI.

It is amazing how well this stimulus package is working. LOL!!!! And it is also miraculous that the unemployment didn't go over 8 percent as promised by our fearless leader. LOL!!! Can't wait to see what is next.

this thread was started in October of 2008. Things were very much in a downward spiral prior to obama taking office.....so one can't lie 100% of the blame on this administration.

There already is a pet store in the back section of the Arboretum, so I expect one of these two pet stores to make the "going out of business" thread some time next year.

The other is the smaller chain, Petland.

Which, oddly, is NOT part of the Petland chain in the New York area.

That Taco Bell burned down last September. I guess insurance companies are being slow to pay out in this economy as well.

On the upside, the new one looks a lot more 'upscale' than the old one.

According to news reports, it was suspected arson. Did they ever catch anyone?
