Ventured out on Black Friday for one thing only.... To hit the super sale at LMS. Go every year with my sister. This year, sister was sick so I went with her husband. Mine was working at a car dealership all day. Love the speedway and especially love the sale every year. Did not drive on the track this year though, wanted to get home to the sick little sis. Next year...maybe the hubby can get out of going in early too!

I went to Eastland Mall in Columbus, OH on Friday with some of our kids & grandkids. They both work for Sears so we get to use their discount. I was looking at tool chests. I really liked a stainless steel one, but when I asked the clerk if they had it in stock, she said that they didn't have it & that they could ship it to me. I would up ordering it online from sears.com & getting free shipping!

Got the Nuvi 200 at walmart for $97. Funny thing is the guy from electronics was calling out he had a few left.I really thought they were already out.Got that. And then, looking for insulated boots, saw something not as warm, but top brand, this at shoe carnival at the gashouse(Gastonia)and got those. Having shoppers remorse about that one.

No "doorbuster" price on anything would make me venture out at 4:00 AM to stand in line outside of a store waiting for the doors to open up.

I go shopping every year on Black Friday. This year wasn't so bad. Between 5:00 am & 1:00 pm, I went to Best Buy, JC Penney, Sears, Belk, Macy's, the Disney Store, Hallmark, KB Toys, Kohls, H.H Gregg, Ashley Furniture, Walmart, and Toys R Us. Toys R Us had the worst lines. All the rest of the stores moved quickly. I got everything I intended to by the way!

I had no desire to get up early or wait in line so I decided to wait until about 5:30PM to venture out to Northlake. The problem was that there were no really good sales. I think most of them ended early in the day so it was just like a typical evening at the mall. I tried to check out Cyber Monday deals and it was too much effort. I guess my time and sanity is worth more than a good deal these days!

My thought is that almost everyone did their shopping on Black Friday and are pretty much done. The next three weeks will be fairly slow for retailers so they'll have some more blowout prices the few days leading up to Christmas.
