We are familiar with Sandy Ridge, Marvin Ridge and Marvin High.
Here is a map of the Cuthbertson cluster, along with a listing of the elementary feeder schools:
2009/2010 School Year

Students being reassigned to Cuthbertson are coming from Marvin Ridge, Parkwood, and I think, maybe a little Weddington. Not sure if all the new development was in the works when you were last here, but if you are familiar with the Cureton/Lawson developments, that's where a large number of the students will come from.

I think almost half of the students are coming from the Weddington cluster.

Willow Creek is a very nice subdivision. All brick neighborhood of about 45 houses.....nice and quite. No pool or tennis court.....but a playground and pond. YMCA and other fun places for the kids are nearby. There are two or three houses for sale. Schools are great!!!!

Question Sandy Ridge,Rea View,Cuthbertson, or Kensington Elementary

Looking for advice on my children attending one of these elem. schools. On greatschools.net, it's being said that Sandy Ridge has gone down hill and fast??? that was always a great school with great ratings.

Is there a better pick now? We are relocating from CT and looking to rent first to adjust before we buy a home. I'd like to pick the right area to rent a home, with the hopes that we stay in the same school district and not need to change the kids.

I have one child going into 2nd grade and one child going to High School.

Thanks a million!
