Does anybody know when the Super Walmart near Concord Mills plans to open?

Sad to say, but I am looking forward to it, as it will unfortunately become our cloest grocery store (easily cutting dropping the grocery store trip by 5 minutes).
Sad that we can pick up home improvement supplies in our area faster than groceries. When we decided to build a home in that area, there were potential for 3 grocery stores... One close to Christenbury Village, the Bloom near Concord Mills, and this Super Walmart.... so far, only one is really progressing.

SO that area needs something else - a Super Wal-Mart?!

:scratching head:

Every chain restaurant under the sun is represented there.
BUT I so do love Pat Rodgers [Speedway] Harley-Davidson...

Same here! And I was about to ask/post the same question too. Wondering when/if this one is open and also the one near Ikea. I did email wal-mart a week ago, no reply yet. Well, it is walmart... what was I expecting?!!

I know the pharmacists that are working in that store and the store is scheduled to open in July. Sorry I don't know the exact date.

Walmart ... sigh. Let's squeeze our suppliers for a nickel of savings so we can lower our prices a nickel, then boast about how we're helping the country. How about concentrating on paying living wages to the employees, and encouraging domestic sourcing of products? We'd all be happy to pay the extra nickel.

Did you hear they forsee hiring something like 23K additional people the next few years? Retailing, it's our new growth industry. Sigh.

I do shop their occasionally; for some hard goods they are the only game in town. But for food you can nearly always do better at HT or Lowes with the double coupons.

I guess I'll have to learn the art of using coupons. I'm being serious. The few times I tried it never seemed to work for us. Maybe it's what one buys and what the coupons are for, and perhaps it just didn't work in our situation.
