From what I've heard, Phase 2,3,4 would be better, but I'm still researching and talking to people that live there. I found some interesting reading on these sites below. You can read about some of the drama from last summer, with the resignation of the HOA President, Bob Bankhead, and other committee leaders. I still think Curtis Pond offers the best deals on homes in Mooresville...hands down.

They do have lovely floor plans at CP...we almost purchased there ourselves & couldn't decide on either the Bryant or Trent models. Alot of living space for the $$$
BTW...I just heard this past Wed. that (supposedly) Scenic Homes is pulling out of Curtis Pond. They are selling off all of the inventory homes they now have & are not building anymore new homes. TrueHomesUSA (which is building Harris Crossing on Hwy 3) is going to be the new builder for Curtis Pond. Their homes are very similar in style & $$. I'm trying to confirm this info.

Really, Scenic is pulling out of Curtis Pond? I just called them the other day, and they're sending me out a packet of info. Interesting. Let us know if you find out more information about that.

My wife just spoke to the Scenic office at Curtis Pond, and they are leaving. But, they have 50 lots still to sell and build on, so they won't leave until that happens.

Thanks!
YEP...confirmed it today that Scenic is pulling out of CP. Like I said before, they have inventory left to sell & that's it. I haven't confirmed yet if TrueHomes USA is taking over after Scenic pulls out. Still working on that.
If anyone out there can give me some info on the best places to live on or near Lake Norman, I would be grateful. There are so many subdivisions it's making my head spin and from the looks of the High Schools, Lake Norman HS seems to have the best scores on GreatSchools.org, so I am leaning toward living in LNHS district. (Does anyone know what their sports programs are like, -football, baseball, LAX), or their Media Arts Program? School is most important to me, I have a Freshman & Jr, both boys. Want something nice about $500-800K. Looked at The Point but a friend told me you had to spend a certain amount per month in The Village, not sure if this is in addition to the HOA assessment. Looks really nice.
