I was going to get one for my daughter's birthday this week, but every store in Charlotte is out of stock. What in the world happened to inventory on these things?

That's weird. I heard their sales were down.

Really? I have a hard time believing that. I'll call around later today as places opens, but I see them all the time, if it was Dec. maybe, but I can't believe that EVERY store in CLT is sold out of Wii. Maybe I am wrong, but I'll dig for you.

Not asking for folks to do the work for me, but if you see one somewhere, post the location. Seriously, I can't find a Best Buy in the area that has one or a Gamestop. The lady at Best Buy said they get a shipment of about 20/week and they are gone in a matter of a couple hours. Crazy.

I'm fairly certain I saw them at the Walmart near Concord Mills mall on Sunday. I've been seeing them pretty much everywhere by me. I'll probably stop at the Best Buy at that mall later today, I had seen them there as well. If I do I'll take a look.

Can you list the stores that you've tried? Have you checked Target? Kmart? hhgregg? I can't believe that they are still selling out. It's been over 3 years since they came out. I got mine at Walmart in 2007 during the height of Wii-mania. Had no problem.

I just went to target.com and looked up the stores that had them in stock. More than half of the Charlotte area stores have them in stock.

Nintendo used to manipulate the supply... intentionally - from what I've read. They actually managed the supply carefully so it's typically on the edge and somewhat hard to find. This was early on in manufacturing and since the past holidays I've always seen a steady supply at all the major chains.

Stores like Walmart and Target will get them in weekly... Talk to the folks there.

I know when i got my Wii about a year ago, I just made sure I went to Best Buy on Sunday morning, near the time they opened. That is supposed to be when they get a shipment in.
