I just found a job at Mt. Prospect, IL, now I am living in the city (Chicago). This job required a 2-month training from 9am to 10pm, almost everyday. So i am thinking to moving to Mt. Prospect which will be much easier. the problem is I can only stay for 2 or 3 months in Mount prospect, then the future is not decided, don't want to sign a year renting lease.

Anyone has any idea that what should I do? any place allow me to rent for a couple of months? which area in Mount Prospect is good and safe to live? I am 25, with my girlfriend. Any thing would help, thank you guys!

I don't know if I would move there for just a couple of months. I work in MP and there are plenty of people who commute there from the city. One guy bikes to the train in the city, puts his bike on the train, and then bikes from the station in MP to work.

I think that you are probably better off just commuting for the 2-3 months.

If I read that right, you will be training until 10pm so I would recommend commuting only by car for safety reasons (e.g. walking to/from Ogilvie and your residence?) and I do not think the trains run very often that late in the evening (if at all). Anyway, as is usually the case, a lot depends on your budget. I would stay away from the rental corridor off Busse just South of Golf in Mount Prospect. Arlington Heights has Dunton Towers downtown within walking distance to the train, shops, etc. that a couple of people I know have stayed at and said it was OK. Nothing fancy but decent and they do short term rentals - at least for corporate relocations so it is worth a check to see if they could accommodate you. In all likelihood you will be paying a premium because you probably want something furnished? and short term rentals tend to be more expensive, sometimes substantially. There are also extended stay hotels in the area and you can grab rates as low as $30-40/night if you look hard enough which might make more sense if you aren't open to driving. Some of these haven't been updated in a while but if you are just looking for a bed to sleep in that might be an option.
