I love this location! Although, I have to confess, this is the only area that I lived in during my 5 condos/apts in the city! I NEVER felt out of place once.
You can walk to work at NBC tower, you can walk to michigan ave, you can walk to the lake, restaurants! My only caution is that the hospital is right there and you might hear ambulances. Usually they take Erie though. Plus, washer and dryer in unit, I think. This suburban Mommy says go for it!

Hard to vote when the only options are "best in Chicago" and "not great". I wouldn't say it's the best place to be in Chicago, but it's still pretty good.
