I’m trying to rate DuPage county suburbs in tiers to kind of give an idea of what the county’s like. Does this seem about right to anyone? I may miss a few suburbs, but these are the ones I’m pretty familiar with. I’m just going off the top of my head. (Not in any order) Don’t hate me please lol, I’m not trying to offend anyone, this is just from what I hear around, area info, and MY opinion. Feel free to make changes. I’m interested to see what people say.

1st tier: Very wealthy, out of reach for most people.
Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Clarendon Hills

2nd Tier: More upper class, great schools, mostly great downtowns, overall great places to live.
Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Burr Ridge

3rd Tier: Nice more middle tier suburbs, overall good schools some exceptions, nice areas, good value in a lot of these places.
Lisle, Lombard, Darien, Bloomingdale, Roselle, Itasca, Winfield (Wheaton Schools), Warrenville, Carol Stream

4th tier: Suburbs with bad reputations, looked down upon. Poor preforming schools, higher crime rate when compared to the rest (this is still only DuPage County lol)
Glendale Heights, Addison, West Chicago, Villa Park

I think we've seen this before...

That said - there are parts of "lower tier" suburbs that are highly desirable, i.e. where lots sell for $400K. Other parts of the same suburbs? Might get an entire house for $200K. It's micro location.

Yes, I believe that Pseudonym18123 now has a new pseudonym. These kinds of posts are created to start arguments. If people want to rank suburbs they can just go into City Data and find it there.

So stupid.

What about Bensenville? Fourth tier? High per student spending in the heavily industrial village, but you wouldn't know it from the test scores. Wood Dale? A step up.
