Default Mayoral Possibilities

Ok, at my salon we actually have a board up of who we think is running. So far, Carol Mosley Braun is in the lead. I'm thinking that Rob Emmanuel will win it thought.

Why bother leaking it to the papers then? if they wanted to wrap it up, they could have just wrapped it up. They didn't need a pretense.

Come on Ditka. I will even settle for Jordan at this point. Most of these potential candidates are not very appealing.

Hmmm. Brokering a deal?

"WASHINGTON--White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.)--both mulling Chicago mayoral runs--huddled in Washington on Wednesday night.

"It's fair to say they had a conversation not only about the race, but about the city itself," said a source who declined to be named."

I thought this was cute:

"Our city is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and profits from the various perspectives of a racially, culturally, and sexually diverse Democratic administration. As many as one of our 54 Mayors to date has been female, and we have picked a Republican for this position as recently as 1927."
