My friends and I are driving down to Chicago for the day from Madison, WI and we want to park our car near an el stop outside the city and take the el. We are going on a Tuesday (we're arriving around noon), so I know a lot of the park and ride lots will be full but are there other parking ramps near the el stops? I would like to park near the Skokie stop or the Howard stop.

Almost every time I've visited Chicago I've used the Skokie swift. I usually park around 2-3 pm on Fridays and there were spots available.

If you're coming from Madison, you'll be on I90. Park at rosemont on the blue line.

I'd just do rosemont, you'll already be on I-90 and the Blue Line is so easy.
