If it's solely a relocation forum, then why do we have the General Forum? Hopefully the power(s) that be realize that long term posters with varied POV who can express them appropriately and articulately are needed to keep the quality of this forum at an interesting level. Posts that "stir the pot" a little without getting nasty and becoming a troll fest are needed to keep posters coming back and remaining interested.

We need more threads about hipster cyclists who save parking spaces when half an inch of snow falls.

When I was driving to and from Northwestern Hospital to visit a sick parent earlier in the year, the cyclists around there frightened me and p#$$ed me off. And I'm a cyclist too(not like them nut jobs though), but this is probably better suited for the cyclist forum.

Wheni get the feeling (or the clear message) that it's taboo to talk about anywhere in Chicagoland that's within a 45 minute drive of my house, I got angry. Bored? Not so much. Just angry.

^I suspect he means that this has pretty much always been a northside heavy forum. I think it's a shame, but of course I also know next to nothing about the southside if it isn't Hyde Park, so I don't have much to share.

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure. I agree with the statement then.

City Data (the posters) likes "diversity" but only to a certain extent. It also prefers more expensive areas over others.

Drunk-attorney-woman whose screen name I can't recall at the moment. She moved to CA (maybe even before joing C-D), and I believe I've seen her post in a different sub-forum not too long ago. Had a sense of humor better than most and was the first person I've seen/heard online or IRL to reference zombie apocalypses.
