I was recently offered an employment opportunity near Bolingbrook and am evaluating current optiions for livelihood. With this opportunity I will have a budget of roughly 19,000 to 22,000 per month with no kids. Can anyone provide me with information that may within 10 to 20 miles of the Bolingbrook area that would provide a decent living within this budget?

Sounds like a good opportunity. You can live anywhere you want.

Physician?

You'll probably want to live in someplace like Naperville or perhaps an upscale community to the east on an annual income of over $264,000

Unless the decimal point is not right...

Default Are you really asking if you can afford Chicago on $228K/year? Really?

So why are you posting in the Chicago forum instead of the suburbs forum? Did you mean to say that you want to live in a lively Chicago neighborhood and commute, and want to confirm you can afford it? Or are you just not familiar with the area at all and chose to post this in the Chicago forum? Commuting from Chicago to Bolingbrook during rush hour my guestimate is 40-60 minutes depending on where in the city you live?

Provide us with dtails on what you need in your immediate surroundings to live a happy life and if there are requirements to be at the hospital within a certain time period (being on call?) and we can provide you some valuable information instead of confirming the obvious. Confirming the obvious is MY job

You are quite the spendthrift if you're looking for $700-900 a month in rent for a >$200K salary. Or you've had one helluva career liftoff in the last year.

Possiblity of moving from Minneapolis to Chicago

My annual salary will not be $200,000 per year. My monthly salary will be between twenty thousand to to Twenty Two thousand. That is $20,000 to $22,000 not Two Hundred thousand.
