Hello all!

My name is Andrew and I'm working on a historical project to collect information and an oral history about Old Town and Piper's Alley in the 1960s and early 1970s. I was wondering if you (or anyone you may know) has any information or stories of any kind about Piper's Alley at that time. The ultimate goal would be to conduct formal oral histories of the Alley and Wells Street. Please, please feel free to message me back here or by email at chipipersalley@gmail.com if you have anything share.

I've read extensively about (older) Old Town and think it's time to make a collection of memories to keep the spirit of Old Wells street alive. Furthermore, it's my intention to create a public forum (website or book) to share on the web so that everyone can read and share their own stories, pictures, etc, about Old Town.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you all!

-Andrew

There are some threads on the Chicago forum that talk about Old Town including a recent one where some posters
had some very interesting things to say as well as information - "Memories of Chicago... is just one and there are older
threads as well.
