If you were condemned to die what Chicago meal would be your last? Places that are currently open, please, and thanks in advance!

Right now, I would want something that is classic, perfectly done, simple yet decadent, and delicious.

The warm lobster roll at GT Fish & Oyster.

Even the sweet, delicate, perfectly salted onion strings on the side are to die for.

It's not a Chicago meal per se, but the best thing I have had in the last year, and I have craved it since.

If it had to be a Chicago classic.... maybe one piece of deep-dish Gino's pizza with that excellent cornbread crust.

Rosebud Steakhouse. A nice ribeye with their giant prawns.

OK, I'll bite. What is Chicago-style fried shrimp? How is it fried and where do the shrimp come from?

Fresh, clean gulf shrimp with a seasoned breading that is as addictive as morphine.
The best outfits will bread the cold shrimp and refrigerate it before cooking, or bread them just before cooking.
No freezing.

I've already HAD my last meal in Chicago, and I don't even remember what it was. I was hungry as hell from no sleep + no food from moving. I think I got a burger or something.

If I had more time and a do-over, it would probably be a steak, which would really be my last meal anywhere.

I'd probably go with a deep dish pizza from Lou's with butter crust.

Obviously there are 'better' meals in Chicago, but I dont think there is a better deep dish pizza in the country
