If you have to explain it, then it stops being funny.

Chimack is good for a laugh, especially when he puts on his thinking hoodie and starts analyzin'.

And how is this relevant to the 11% drop from last year? I don't think medical technology advances that rapidly.

I've personally cut my murdering by 11% this year, but there's no need to thank me.

Well, I will anyways. Thank you for doing your part.

Just think, if everyone kills one less person each year...

The city of Chicago is MIA when it comes to reporting some crimes accurately. The number of murders for example has been manipulated in recent years to keep Chicago off the "murder capitals" list. Gang activity is a genuine problem that the city pompously ignores.

I'm sorry, while I think this is surely done for other crimes, it's pretty hard to "juke the stats" on a murder. After all, there is a body, there is an autopsy, and there is a family left behind, somewhere, that wants to know what happened.

You can turn drug trafficking into drug possession, you could GTA into theft, and you could turn an assault robbery into a simple mugging, but you can't disappear a murder.

Okay.. but who's to say that all murders are reported? There isn't necessarily an autopsy all the time.. and there might not even be a body. I guess what you're saying is that the city can't change the stats once all these steps are taken.. and I don't know if they do or not, but all they have to do is erase some.... who's counting, really?

Murder tallies are probably the most accurate crime stats. Some people have extended their distrust of Chicago government into some crazy paranoia.
