I found this person in the Encyclopedia Britannica many years ago before there were popularly developed encyclopedias on line. I verified that he was Christian with an online Rabbi in the Union of Reform Judaism. I think every Christian should be aware of this. The article in the Encyclopedia Britannica was very similar to this. I was studying with the Yahoo Group Ancient Bible History which really helps me understand Ancient Bible History. The WHOLE Bible which is most recently re-translated as the Common English Bible as of last year. It was my researching the impact of Greek culture on the Arabic Middle East because I knew the Talmudists who discussed the Bible knew both Hebrew and Koine Greek..

I hope all Christians will enjoy this biography. I simply have remembered him as "Al Ibadi" and it always works.

I also was told by the Rabbi that centuries ago his writings were banned by the Christian powerful wealthy folks.

I'm Jewish so since my Nestorian Christian was moved here from Judaism and then closed. I hope it's not because of the banning of the writings of "Al Ibadi". I do know I can mention the Talmud to Christians because Jews 4 Jesus and Messianic Jews all buy the Talmud and all study Biblical Hebrew. I've even studied the Hebrew Language with a Jew 4 Jesus in my home who was in my class at the Jewish Community Center in Dallas, TX. I also attended a Hebrew class at the same time with Chabad in which Christians participated.
