Not sure what this about. However, why make up random (false) beliefs to attach to denominations to which you clearly don't belong? SMH.

Default If We're Never Perfect & We're Saved Anyway Why Repent ?

This is an odd question to a Spiritualist. Repentance, like remorse and regret, is a spiritual state of mind that comes upon us from understanding the negative consequences of our actions. It is not something we choose in order to obtain any goal or appease anyone. We experience it because our Spirit regrets it. We do not choose it.

If We're Never Perfect & We're Saved Anyway Why Repent ?

Well it seems that many believe this to be true, Tony !

No one is automatically saved or born saved and have no need to repent....
Everyone born has that opportunity when they have been drawn by the Holy Spirit to join with Christ Jesus who is the perfect Light that shines upon our imperfectness (sin) and gives one the Light into their darkened heart to be able to understand the will of God for His creation. Only then God grants one the grace to believe and agreeing with Him, His truth of the life we lived and acted because of sin that are they able to confess it, repent of their sin (unbelief) that they become saved, children of God !!

If Christ is in YOU the believer one has been made perfect. It is His righteousness, His nature that we are given and becomes ours (the old life has gone, the new life has come) when one has turned from this life they are born into that God calls sin, walking totally independent of God that they've lived all their life.

Quote:
"Repenting is not just living out the 2 greatest commandments only"
You are correct.... Those two commandments are the beginning of a great change, a different direction in life for those who have repented and is the results of one who has repented of a of life sin, unbelief they use to live and now they joyfully live for God !!
As those two commandments bring forth the fruit of God's will, grace into His kingdom in the life of one who believes and are changed and now live the very nature of Christ, a life of one who trusts God completely.

They begin to know and understand how too love Him with all their heart and their neighbor. , it changes their attitude, actions, choices, their whole disposition in/of life.... those two commands will be the most important thing and they will not want to be what they were before God revealed His Truth to them..... the genuine repented heart will weep in deep sorrow if they turn for a second from the presence of the Lord back to their old ways !!

It truly is a life changing event of one who has truly repented in and about their life. It is the Perfect Light of Christ that people will see and desire, hunger for what that person has and see they are no longer the same person.

Blessings to you, Tony !!

John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

And what was revealed to Paul?

Romans 10:4
Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes

Matthew 6:9-13

King James Version (KJV)

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Assemblies of God view of whether women should wear dresses only----Ephesians 4:14.

I was raised Assemblies of God, and my grandfather was an A of G pastor. I have never met one who thought women should wear dresses only. Modest dressing practices, yes, but never a ban on pants. My grandma wore pants almost every day, and she was the pastor's wife .

One of my professors in Bible College said " the Christian life is not marked by sinless perfection, but it is a life of continual repentance". As we draw closer to Christ, the more we recognize the sin in our lives that before did not bother us. We can no longer be content to continue in a pattern of sinful behavior if we belong to Him. Not that we cannot sin. We can and do. But it will make a Christian miserable, and they will be moved by the Holy Spirit to make things right.

If there is no repentance, no conviction of sin, then I question whether that person really knows Christ.

I believe the exact opposite happens . The more you see of Jesus Christ the more you know you are loved of God.

The one who is under what Christians call condemnation which many Christians mistaking call conviction, I. Doubt they actually know the love and forgiveness of God.

Jesus continually revealed the love of God to ordinary folk, and then left us in no doubt of that great love he had for us, by laying down his life .
