He knows this is going to make people mad but...

Christ-mas is a pagan holiday that changes days
because of the Winter-Solstice of The Sun's movement.

The easter holiday always has the same day
because it coincides with The Passover 0f The Jews determined by the Moon.

In one way he is right. Not about the idea of celebrating Christ's birth, but when we celebrate it. We all know that Jesus wasn't born on the 25th of December, and it always annoy me when people try to use the 25th and link Jesus to a remake of other religious figures.

I would be excited if we moved Christmas to one of the Jewish feast days, particularly the Feast of Tabernacles. It would make much more sense to link Jesus birthday to this feast day, because we know these feast days were like rehearsals for big events. (Example the Passover Feast was a preclude to Christ dying on the cross. Pentecost was a preclude to the giving of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps the Feast of Tabernacles was a preclude to Jesus being born) Ultimately, as Christians it would teach us more about our faith, and we could leave the 25th to the world to just celebrate that day as an end of the year celebration.

Yeah, I say let The Catholics have it back and they can fight with the world about
their Saint Nick's 'Oh,Oh,Oh Mary-Christ-Mass greeting and his 'Christ-Mass-Tree' gifting.

Christmas changes days? For me it's always on Dec. 25.

The date for Easter always changes.

Either Pat got something wrong or the OP got all the details backwards.

The 'day' changes. Not the date.

.
The word 'Easter' is Not found in Scripture, and is in connection to 'Resurrection of Spring' not to Christ.
The Lunar calender date [not day] is the month of Nisan and day 14 for the annual remembering of the 'Last Supper' or memorial of Christ's death.

What was the 'always' date for Christmas for Jesus and his apostles?
How did the apostles celebrate Christmas ?

Yeah I know. Thanks.

And, yeah good questions I've ask before too.

There was one things Jesus said to do in remembrance of Him.
And it wasn't one day or one month a year.
He said as often as you do this do it in remembrance of Me.

Years ago I received a box of 'Latin Flash Cards' and to my amazement the English from the Latin for 'often' was: seldom.

How often was the Passover held but once a year on Nisan the 14th.
For the Jews to become Jesus' followers the passing of the cup of wine and bread would replace the annual Passover.
How many times during the year does what is often called 'Good Friday' come but once a year or annually.
When Jesus said remember he was talking about 'the remembrance date' which would be the actual day of Jesus' death, thus the actual day or date to commemorate his death, and from that day on would be yearly. The yearly or annual date of passing the bread and wine. Counting since the first century, it would be often too in the sense that it was to continue being done or held even until the coming 'time of separation' of Matthew 25 vs 31,32.
