Those who believe in the Atonement/Grace are not only forgiven but are given the power of a new spiritual life.

It is the power of a new life [born again in spirit by the Spirit] that begins with the Atonement that takes away the sin through mercy even though we have rejected Him. But if when all is said and done you still refuse to let Him to bear the sin through that spiritual transaction then you bear it on your own for eternity. God made the Atonement of Christ the focal point of salvation for the whole world if they beleive what He said. Because God is one and His Truth is one standard, there is no rival/no other God or logic of man that can compete.

By what the world calls foolishness/the cross of Christ, God has chosen to save the world, that the wisdom will be of God and not man. The Good News is that one can be translated back into being a part of the Trinity through Christ or the bad news is that you will remain dead in soul without the hope of Eternal Life now with God and Eternal Life of a greator measure when you die. Sin is only paid for if you receive the payment and that payment includes with it the power of New Life in Christ. This is His earth, His creation and He runs the show how He sees fit with long suffering, not willing that any would perish.

Again, what God declares to be so, it is so. No one can add to it or take from it. Let God be true for then you will find your way but every other way is a lie that leads to the death of soul.
Hebrews 9:22
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

Romans 3:25

God presented Christ as a sacrificeof atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.
God declared what the law requires and Jesus keep the law perfectly... this "refute your interpretation" is finally directed at God.

It will be proven one day who followed the doctrine of Satan.

Amen, gary ! Truly an awesome post and am thankful for those who love God's truth and speak it boldly through the Spirit of truth.

As your post speaks deeply from the heart of God to a lost world revealing God's will for mankind in hopes of hearing the Spirit in whom draws the heart of men and women, children to the Lord Jesus Christ.
As He (Holy Spirit) yearns for the day of God's divine appointment for each and every soul born by turning their lost hearts to seek after the love of the truth of His perfect, precious Son, Jesus Christ who gave up everything on the Cross so that they/we may have life, a life forgiven for all eternally by and through His Atonement.... no man or woman can or will ever be able too pay the price of the sacrifice of what Christ did for their life on the Cross, amen !!

Yes, Twin it will and one day the weeping and gnashing of teeth.... throwing up fist into the face of God because they, themselves exchanged God's truth for the lies..... accusing and blaming Him !!
I tell you pride is a #1 killer of the soul of every man or woman in who continues to rebel against the spoken, written words of God Almighty !!

Thank you both gary and Twin for the blessing of sharing your love and the courage in obeying our God in speaking boldly the wisdom of our God's truth as He directs your hearts in doing so, amen !!

Just to reiterate what has been said and ignored before, it is the mechanics of atonement that are in dispute, not atonement itself, and a check of history will show that the perception espoused by many "liberals" is that explained by the earliest records of the church.

And it is in the position that the Bible is God's words rather than accounts of perceptions about God that is denied simply because a book was never promised and to make it authority rather than a tool for the Spirit is to usurp what WAS promised.

Amen!. It is so sad that the false Gospel was made church dogma shortly after the Apostles' deaths and formalized through political processes more than 3 centuries after. Now we have indoctrinated Christians defending a satanic corruption of the Gospel of Christ by using the very arguments that were used to protect against the false Gospels that were proliferating after the Apostles died! Irony of ironies!

The satanic belief that the written words are God's Word was another early corruption that was specifically warned against and abandoned in the New Covenant. We are to rely on what God has "written in our hearts" using the "mind of Christ" (WWJT) and His Holy Spirit (Comforter) within our consciousness to guide us to the truth . . . NOT the "words written in ink." Only by believing the entire Bible is God's Word can Evil flourish. It corrupts our understanding of Good and evil. It forces us to accept Evil as Good because supposedly God ordered it or God did it. This contradicts the purpose of the Bible as useful for teaching righteousness because it confuses Evil with Good using false excuses and rationalizations about "God working in mysterious ways" or "God's ways are not our ways" . . . and similar idiocy. Either Evil is Evil and Good is Good and we are to learn how to discern it . . . or not. Having to make special exceptions for God confuses and does not edify us in learning to distinguish Evil from Good. . . .

This suits the satanic purpose because it took the focus off of FOLLOWING Christ in "love of God and each other" and being sanctified under His love for us all . . . and turned it into believing things ABOUT Christ. The central truth that Christ saved us is there . . . but the desired purpose of believing it is lost . . . i.e., following Christ's commands to "love God and each other" daily and repent when we don't.

This artful deception began early when we were still carnal savages and has been perpetuated as a sign of Faith in God ever since. The solid food of Love has been buried in a fear of hell or damnation. Very, very sad that the false teachings are considered the truth because it is easier just to believe than to DO. It appeals to our human nature to avoid the difficult and unpleasant . . . so it has triumphed over the truth Christ taught and displayed unambiguously by His life and death. The excuse that we cannot achieve the perfection Christ did has been twisted to stop people from even trying. We do not need to achieve the perfect love of Christ for us all. We simply need to achieve a resonant harmony with Him through "love of God and each other" daily and repenting when we don't. His perfection and grace is sufficient to cover our inadequacies . . . but we have at least to be trying.

Add a bit of cogent copy and paste Christianity from 2 Peter 1:3His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
