Actually, that is not what Jesus said according to Matthew 7:13-14:
"You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it."
You only need to genuflect when Jesus is present in the tabernacle. The Baptist church doesn't have a tabernacle NOR the real presence of Jesus Christ, therefore you will NEVER need to genuflect in a Baptist church.
He is not present in tabernacles made with hands but rather in His Body of believers wherever they are. It is written, "Whoever confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is born of God." We may believe many things differently but Christ has made it clear who is born of God and therefor we should have respect for one another in honoring Christ.
HEB 9:24 "For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
HEB 9:25 Nor yet that He should offer himself often, as the High Priest entered into the Holy Place every year with blood of others;
HEB 9:26 For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world has He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself."

Translation: It takes work to get there. Whether you genuflect or not is irrelevant.
I have read and participated in this thread from the beginning and there was absolutely NO intent to slam the Baptists in any way. You misunderstood. Thank you
You obviously misunderstood since it was I that explained it.
But don't let that get in the way of your inability to grasp things.

What did Jesus die for? Did He come to make bad people good or did He come to make dead people live? Whenever someone says "it takes work to get to Heaven" then to the extent of your belief and trust in your own work is the extend you do not trust Jesus and His finished work on the cross. God punished His Son on the cross for you! Don't insult Jesus by saying our works save us better than His.

The NLV translation of this verse is highly inaccurate. The words "God, kingdom, hell" are not in that verse. This verse is not referring to salvation. It is referring to our life on Earth, what we reap and sow. If this verse were referring to salvation it would contradict everything else Jesus and all of the apostles said about salvation. Remember John saw a multitude of people in Heaven that no man can number. In the old testament people were numbered in the millions. Today, men have numbered people in the billions. How many people do you suppose will be in Heaven?

Then use the NIV, which is an accurate rendition of the Greek: "13"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14"For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."
You come up with the same thing and it is not contradictory to anything else in the Bible, merely to your interpretations.

This is up for interpretation.
What Jesus intended to do is irrelevant because a good God also provides salvation to those that never knew Jesus true intentions. Good Jews and Muslims also go to heaven. You are actually preaching religion; the recycled words of pastors that influenced you.
I thought so, too. We Episcopalians have a sick sense of humor.
