Jesus didn't say: Peter, you can give this authority to another. As a matter of fact, when the apostles died off all kingdom powers ended. When the apostles are resurrected then they will sit on 12 thrones and the kingdom powers will be re-instituted.

Peter actually passed tradition to Mark who wrote one of the gospels under the direction of the Holy Spirit. This is an actual truth that you cannot refute.
Paul passed down tradition to Timothy.
Saint John ordained Ignatius of Antioch.
Peter ordained Pope Clement.
The list goes on!
