It's the evolutionary religion. Kind of a New Age religion.

We should speak out against these religious nut jobs.

While we're at it, we need to make sure that people understand that gravitationists are basing their beliefs on the unproven notion that gravity exists (you know, cuz it's just a theory).

And I don't worship the Bible, though I do read it and think the originals were inspired. Have you actually read it?

I think you are overreacting. Of course there are nut job evolutionary so-called scientists. But that doesn't mean they are all nut jobs. Deluded, maybe.

What I find really sad is one spends, what? a couple hundred thousand to get a PhD and they end up spending their life on something unproven and unprovable such as evolution. More and more scientists are getting more and more educated and seeing what a farce evolution really is. Eventually they will have to scrap the whole field.

And that's as huge a wishful -thinking fairy tale as anything you'll find in genesis.

In my youth we had ( I recall a TV news item) the ant- evolutionists producing some diagram out of their own heads and was supposed to completely refute evolution. 'Evolution in disarray' popped up then and has been trotted out regularly ever since. In fact it has become more and more supported and validated. But the antis still cling to the wishful thinking belief that evolution is going to collapse at any moment. They are victims of their own self -delusion.

I don't expect that the creationist movement is going to vanish overnight. There is too much personal Faith and well -directed money and influence behind it. But the fact are going to tell and many here will have seen how the Creationists have no real case and all they can do is cut and paste old -hat Jack Chick material and it must tell that those of us who buy into evolution, whether they also buy into God or not, at least understand evolution while the creationists here obviously don't and don't want to.

That must tell you browsing folks quite a lot.

Here's the really scary part: the people who hold those beliefs think, since Jesus is returning any day now, there is no need to educate themselves OR their children. Science is not only unknown to them..... their kids grow up knowing diddly squat.

What do you make of PhD scientists who have been in the field of evolution their whole lives and are finally so disgusted with the non-evidence that they are giving up?

That's impossible here in the United States. We have state requirements which students have to fulfill whether the parents like it or not. So your "scary part" is just another lie like evolution.

Not only that, their kids are taught that the outside world and science are The Devil. Christianity is, at its heart, a Cosmic Conspiracy Theory. And the paranoid segment of the population will eat that stuff up. Look at how many people believe that 9/11 was an inside job.
