Baptism saves no one. Plain and simple its the blood of Jesus that saves. The thief on the cross is just an excuse that people try to use as a way of acting like it was under the old law. The ten commandments were constructed under the old law but yet we still abide by them today. In the NT it says believe and everyone who believes and calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. They believed in the OT and they were saved. NO Difference. They use the ten commandments in the NT as well as the OT again NO Difference. They say well you contact the blood through baptism. Again you contact the blood in a Spiritual way not physically in water of a baptismal pit.

Obviously, this is all according to your belief, as mine and the way I read scripture differs.

And, I do not abide by the 10 commandments, only the 9 that were repeated in the NT.

There are about 80 times in the NT when Jesus says "I tell you the truth".

John 3:5
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit

Matthew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Jesus said "I tell you the truth" not "I tell you part of the truth"

Plain and simple, somebody is wrong......Jesus or those who say baptism doesn't save

But Jesus never said anyone who is not baptized will be condemned.

He didn't need to. When he told us other things, did He have to turn around and remind us that just the opposite wasn't needed? For instance, He told us to use fruit of the vine and unleavened bread for communion. Did He need to list everything else that we were not to use? Mormons use water...could they argue, but Jesus never said don't use water?

He didn't say it because baptism does not save us, and yes I believe we should be baptized.

So what did He mean when He said, he that believes AND is baptized shall be saved? If baptism isn't needed, why did He say it?

Because it is a picture of salvation. When we are baptized we are saying I have been forgiven of my sins, I am trusting Jesus as my Savior and I am a new person. Baptism is not salvation. Romans 6:4 "For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives".
